Black Cockatoo Reserve

In 2022, MBC completed the Black Cockatoo Reserve project in Mundaring. The reserve was in need of upgraded internal and external firebreaks, as well as updated drainage solutions to prevent the erosion of the trails. The reserve was also affected by Phytophthora Dieback, and great care was needed to prevent the further spread of the disease causing damage to the native species in the area.

We installed several wash down bays to thoroughly clean our machinery before and after works and upgraded the internal walking trails and firebreaks. We installed drains on the northern side to redirect water from rains and prevent washout to the track. MBC took great care not to disturb the reserve whilst undertaking these works, and worked alongside local friends groups to meet these requirements.

Our team is very proud of this project and the outcome we were able to achieve. The beauty of this reserve can now be enjoyed into the future.
