Heritage Trail – Riley Road

The MBC team have been undertaking works along the Railway Reserve Heritage Trial in Stoneville.

This has involved removing invasive species including non-native Corymbia Maculata, Acacia Longifolia and Acacia Iteaphylla which had taken hold of the area. This gives our WA native species a chance to thrive, ensuring to protect and save local vegetation into the future.

A lot of care has been taken not to disturb delicate areas whilst removing the invasive species. Our team were hand cutting and weeding overgrown suckers that have developed from the larger trees.
